A better way to grow strawberries

When Ophelia Sarakinis, founder of GUSH, learned that strawberries consistently top the “Dirty Dozen” list of pesticide-contaminated produce, she knew there must be a better way. She took action and assembled her first indoor strawberry farm in her parents’ attic.

After years of research and development, GUSH is bigger than ever. We recently finished the transformation of a former textile factory into a state-of-the-art vertical farm capable of sustainably producing delicious, pesticide-free strawberries, 365 days a year.

At GUSH, we grow strawberries at their best. Not only are our strawberries pesticide-free and hyperlocal, they’re gourmet and chef-approved. Unlike the imported berries, which are often tasteless and unripe, our strawberries were specifically selected with flavour, texture, aroma, and even antioxidants in mind. You can taste the difference! That’s why GUSH strawberries are served on the plates of some of Montreal’s finest restaurants.
